Checkatrade workwear – work trousers: review and giveaway

January 4, 2019

Call me old school – but I’ve always turned up to job sites or client’s homes looking smart and presentable.

Creating the right impression when pricing and doing the work, can help in winning new jobs.

So, to me, investing in quality workwear is no different to investing in decent tools or, in fact, the vehicle we drive.

When buying work clothes, and particularly work trousers, they have to be comfortable, hard wearing, smart and, of course, fit for purpose.

Jobman is a Swedish workwear brand that have been around for over 40 years.

With that history comes a way of life, where the brand has successfully engaged with the tradespeople wearing their clothes, whilst creating work clothes and work trousers people actually want to wear.

Jobman Star 2822 – 07 Holster work trousers are available in three colours: Black, Grey and Navy Blue. They are incredibly smart, tough and practical, yet amazingly comfortable.

Jobman Work Trousers

More importantly, the trousers are covered by the Jobman 3-point protection guarantee* T’s and C’s apply, please see Jobman website for more details:

1. No shrinkage
2. No burst seams
3. No broken zips

When you take a moment to think about it, trades wear their work clothes for longer than their normal everyday clothes, which means it’s vital to invest in comfort and quality.

The Jobman Work Trousers have an incredible 19 pockets, plus one front zipped leg pocket. The front holster pockets are reinforced and have a bucket design at the base, so no stitched bottom seam will fail, meaning all pockets are incredibly strong.

The 2 Holster pockets, each with multiple compartments & tool straps, are just some of the features that make these trousers so useful – especially when you can tuck them away when not in use or when carrying out messy tasks.

There is also a clear ID card or business card pocket to allow easy viewing.

YKK Cam lock zips give confidence that your Jobman work trousers have industry-leading premium quality fly and pocket fasteners, which won’t come undone whilst wearing them.

The work trousers are manufactured from ultra-tough amazingly lightweight breathable 100% Polyamide Star fabric, which is very resistant to abrasion. The inside fabric is also brushed for that softer feel directly to your skin.

With Jobman Star fabric water simply runs off, meaning they are easy to wash and fast drying.

Durability and tear strength come as standard, as does the attention to detail put in place with adjustable bottom entry knee pad pockets to keep out unwanted debris.

If you include the trouser leg material then three layers provide additional comfort, plus two possible knee pad pockets with height adjustments.

High vis piping is strategically placed on the bottom front edge of the incredible tough Cordura® knee pad pockets and also bottom back edge of the anti-wick ankle cuffs, which also feature adjustable draw cords. There is also a knife button.

Cordura® is well known for its toughness & durability – so it’s great the area most likely to wear is protected with it. Pre-bent knees allow really comfortable fitting work trousers.

I would say the Jobman trousers have a pocket for everything I need, from a dedicated ruler pocket that’s free at the bottom allowing easy movement & no discomfort when bending, to tools, screws & nails, phone, 7 belt loops plus a Hammer Loop.

These Jobman work trousers are suitable for all tradespeople and come in an impressive range of sizes:

Waist: 29 31 33 34 36 38 40 42 47 50
